Can I join Stroller Strides if I am pregnant?

YES, YES, YES! We encourage expectant mothers to continue to exercise through their pregnancy as long as it has been approved by their physician. Instructors are trained in both pre- and post-natal fitness and follow the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) fitness guidelines.

We can modify any exercise that poses an issue as you progress through your pregnancy. Stroller Strides does require a Doctor's approval prior to beginning Stroller Strides if you are pregnant.

Exercise during pregnancy helps improve or increase:

  • Cardiovascular fitness
  • Muscular strength/endurance
  • Energy levels
  • Higher fatigue threshold
  • Posture and biomechanics
  • Circulation
  • Self-esteem, sense of well-being
  • Post-Delivery recovery time
